On June 10, 2019, Governor Kay Ivey signed a Medical Marijuana bill into law for Alabama. Don’t get excited just yet, though. Research is still required by the commission according to the bill, prior to any changes in medical marijuana laws taking effect. I am still excited to see progress taking place, as I never thought Alabama would take action on this topic.
Much to my surprise, Alabama is also taking steps to decriminalize marijuana laws in the state. I am equally excited about the actions legislation is taking on this, as well.
